ARM designed and documented this commercial project the Australian Council for Educational Research, a body that researches and develops educational resources.
The scope involved the reconception of the corporate vision of this unique research community. The lattice pattern introduced in the aluminium screen to the atrium is based on a Delaunay mesh. Robert Delaunay was French artist (1885-41) and his work has influenced both artists and scientists and is present today in the way 2D & 3D software programs calculate and define surfaces.
The pattern has been scaled to be engaging at this proximity and be highly visually permeable but offer a sense of privacy.
